Ayurveda

Ayurvedic Treaments
Shirodhara
Shirodhara is an ancient Indian therapy by which mind is awakened to make us calm and stress free. In this therapy a continuous, warm stream of Ayurvedic medicated oil is poured on and across the forehead by which Marma points of the head, neck, shoulders and feet are stimulated and a deep meditative and intuitive state is awakened. During the treatment a fast awareness and special mental clarity is experienced. By Shirodhara a profound relief and relaxation with great feeling is experienced.
Kati Basti
It is an ancient Indian Ayurvedic treatment for exfoliating the body to treat for chronic back pain, lower back spasms, degenerative spondilosis and nerve pains. A dough of powders of herbs like ginger, sesame, cardamom, clove etc. is prepared and is put in groove form at Kati (Lumber region) to keep warm medicated oil in it for twenty minutes or so to get the soothing experience. The ingredients of the dough and of the medicated oil are selected in consideration of the pain/disease and the body composition of the person. A series of these treatments are amazingly relaxing and beneficial for the body.
Janu basti
Janu basti as an Ayurvedic treatment offers relaxation from pain of knee joints and osteo arthritis of the knee joint by improving blood circulation. In janu basti, a dough of powders of herbs is prepared and is put in groove form on the knee joints to keep warm medicated oil in it for twenty to twenty five minutes to get the relief from the pain. A series of these treatments are amazingly relaxing and beneficial for the body.
UROVASTI
The body is given a massage particularly on the chest with the warm medicated mixture of herbal oils prepared for urovasti. Thereafter preparing a groove of herbal powders on the chest the medicated warm oil so prepared for it is kept in the groove for forty five minutes so that body becomes relaxed of respiratory problems, astma, heart diseases and muscular and chest pain etc. The herbal oil used for this massage enriches the blood and builds and maintains strong muscle and connective tissues. A series of these treatments are amazingly relaxing and beneficial for the body.
Griva basti
Griva basti as an Ayurvedic treatment includes massaging the back of the neck using warm medicated oil or herbal decoction for twenty to thirty minutes. The herbal decoction used for this massage is useful in the treatment for cervical spondylosis, chronic pain in the neck areas, compression fractures etc.
